Bute Tools does not have a car park, however there is usually plenty of free on-street parking in the vicinity. Alternatively, you may park in Guildford Square nearby where a pay-and-display service is in operation.

STORE LAYOUT
Takes a little getting used to!
The store layout takes a little getting used to simply because of the wide range of goods stocked. Even then you often find yourself asking a staff member - but they are good at spotting people scratching their heads and will often ask if they can help. It's always worth an ask if you can't find something specific, as they often have stuff in store rooms or in their "yard" (or even on the truck which is often parked out front) so not everything is on the shelf.
PRODUCT RANGE
Unbeatable
The product range really is unbeatable considering the size of Bute. It's always worth asking if you can't find the product you want because they will often be able to order in for you if they don't carry stock of a specific item.
STOCK AVAILABILITY
Seemingly 1 or 2 of everything
Unless you are buying screws or nails, don't expect to be able to bulk buy for a large project without arranging in advance. Because of the enormous range of products stocked and the relative size of the island, it's unusual to find more than a few of any one thing on the shelf.
STAFF
Superb
The staff at Bute Tools are predominantly family members and without doubt are some of the friendliest and most customer-centric you'll find on the island. Nothing is too much trouble.
VALUE FOR MONEY
Mixed
Some items are really good value and others not so. It's understandable - they carry a huge range, it's a big shop considering the size of the island and it is very well staffed. From a large project perspective it will undoubtedly save money sourcing bulk products elsewhere, but for those odd jobs Bute Tools is unbeatable.
OVERALL
Bute is lucky to have them
Great range, great staff, helpful attitude and will source products they don't stock. What's not to like?
