I have a Master's degree (distinction) in Humanities and Social Sciences (English), a bachelor's degree in English with American Studies (first class) and I have been teaching secondary age children since 2004. I have been responsible for the mentoring of newly-qualified teachers and have managed an English teaching department.

I am GTCS certified and I am a current PVG scheme member.

Either approach is acceptable but it is usually preferable for you to come to me where I can provide a quiet environment free from distractions and where I have access to masses of literature and materials at a moment's notice. I'm just a few minutes drive from town and live on a bus route.

Sessions are usually undertaken in the early evening, so as not to interfere with school and homework, or can sometimes be arranged for weekends in exceptional circumstances.

Rates will be tailored according to the needs of the student, but will always be very competitive.
