Perfect solitude and stunning views
Glencallum Bay offers perfect solitude and stunning views down across Arran, to Little Cumbrae and to the mainland at Ardrossan.
Access to Glencallum Bay is a difficult terrain 1.5 mile walk from the bus turning point at Kilchattan Bay where there is some limited parking available. This walk includes scrambling over eroding cliffs, in part. Alternatively it is possible to reach the bay from St Blanes Chapel but this is also quite a difficult walk with lots of inclines however is less risky.
The nearby Rubh an Eun Lighthouse is well worth a detour.

Parking is at Kilchattan Bay - either in the bus turning area or along the seafront. This is approx. 1.5 miles of difficult terrain to walk, approaching the bay from north to south. Alternatively park at St Blanes Chapel car park and approach the bay from west to east. A slightly less challenging walk but more climbing involved.
