Secluded sandy beach close to Bute Golf Course
Secluded sandy beach close to Bute Golf Course, overlooking the majestic hills of Arran.
A stunning unspoilt sandstone-coloured bay peppered with boulders and rockpools, perfect for a picnic, a walk, and exploring.
Access down to the beach is a little tricky with culverts and rocks to negotiate but a typically-agile person will have no problem.
Whilst it is possible to access from the golf club car park, we prefer the slightly longer walk (1.5 miles) from the Blackpark Standing Stones car park via the track that skirts the Baird airfield. This also gives a good view of the Largizean Standing Stones on a clear day as well as unrivalled views over the north of Arran.
