Small sandy sheltered remote bay
Dunagoil is a small sandy sheltered remote bay down towards the southernmost tip of Bute adjacent to the Dunagoil Hill Fort. With lovely views across to Arran, this is a quiet and peaceful beach to visit - perfect for a picnic.
There is a limited amount of parking in a small layby (maybe 4 cars) near to Dunagoil Farm on the Plan Road. From here you need to cross two fields to reach the beach - these fields are regularly used by cattle and sheep. For large parts of the year animals may also roam onto the beach so dogs need to be on leads or under close control.
