This route is often the quickest way of hopping between the Kintyre and Cowal peninsulae and avoiding a lengthy drive via Lochgilphead, Inveraray and Strachur when travelling between places like Campbeltown and Bute. It's certainly a very pretty route that would also enable the visitor to take in Tighnabruaich on the way by.
