Petrol Stations on Bute

There are two petrol stations on Bute - both are in Rothesay town centre and both are attended rather than self-service - a welcome throwback to the good old days of motoring!

Consequently, opening hours are limited especially on Sundays. Expect them to close briefly for lunch, too!

Simply drive up, pop your fuel cap, tell the attendant what you need and they'll take care of it. If you're paying cash you won't even need to get out of your vehicle!

Prices are competitive with the mainland, as our increased transport costs are offset by a reduction in fuel duty as an island community. Sometimes it's even a couple of pence cheaper over here than the mainland so there's no need to travel over with a full tank.
