Over 40s Covid boosters now available to book
From The Bute Practice today:
The health centre continues with the Covid Booster Vaccination campaign , We would like to invite all patients 40 years and over to book an appointment by calling after 11.00am on any weekday for their booster vaccination. You must have had your 2nd vaccination at least 24 weeks ago. Invites have begun to be issued by the health centre today and will continue over the next few weeks. If you feel you have not been invited at the right time , please get in touch with us.
The booster vaccine will be the PFIZER vaccine and patients will need to wait for 15 minutes after vaccination in case of an allergic reaction.
PLEASE REMEMBER YOU NEED TO WAIT 6 MONTHS FROM YOUR SECOND VACCINATION TO RECEIVE YOUR BOOSTER.
We also invite those patients who are aged 16 and 17 to attend for their second covid vaccination. The time between 1st and 2nd vaccine should be a minimum of 12 weeks and if you are 16 or 17 and have contracted Covid you should wait 12 weeks from contracting it to your next vaccination.
